Working on mywalkin gives me a unique insight into the job market scenario in the country. Things were looking really bad 3-4 months back. We had to actually worry if a week will go without a single walkin interview getting posted on mywalkin.

From that scenario, we have come a long way forward. We are not back to posting 40 walkins a week yet. But clearly we are again seeing a flurry of activity in the walkin area. HCL has been a strong recruiter over the last few weeks. It has been conducting walkins across India on a consistent basis. Sonata Software (some one please send me the contact details of HR in Sonata) and Infotech enterprises are the other big recruiters. TCS has been quite active in the BPO area and we are expecting them to be back in the IT domain again.

We at mywalkin have been guilty of neglecting the freshers for all this time. It actually goes back to the time when we were starting mywalkin. On a number of occasions a posting on mywalkin got large number of freshers to a single walkin interview. That resulted in HRs threatening to take legal action against us and we stopped posting walkin interviews for freshers. We have decided to focus on freshers walkin once again.

The mywalkin community is one of the largest communities in India. We request you again to please come together to create greater value for everyone. Please share your interview experiences, questions and answers in mywalkin forum I am confident it will be helpful for everyone in the long term.
