Designation: Senior Technical Writer
Experience: 4-10 yrs of (Core Technical Writing Exp)

Role Description
The technical writer researches, develops and delivers quality technical documentation.

Ideal Candidate 
 • A technical background with experience in telecommunications, data networking and Internet applications

• A proven record for on-time delivery

• Experience working with aggressive schedules and deadlines

• Experience with a variety of authoring tools, such as Frame Maker, Epic Editor, Adobe Acrobat

• Able to work to customer documentation standards

• Experience in XML an asset

• Comfortable working within a globally distributed team environment

  Responsibilities

  1)       Accountable to work closely with designers and architects to produce internal and external documentation.

2)        Work with Design, to support and implement auto generated documents for reference information

3)        Adopt and participate in new “Agile Process”. As a member of one or more “scrum” teams (Agile terminology): understand and identify documentation requirements through active participation and ongoing engagement with team members (Designers, P.V., Architects, Product Owner/customer/PLM rep).  The writer participates on the Scrum team which facilitates the ongoing engagement with SMEs to identify and meet the

documentation requirements (both internal and customer facing)

4)       Edit/Develop internal Design TWIKI documentation as needed 

Skill Set

• 4- 8 years Technical writing experience

• Strong technical aptitude and interest

• Experience with Frame Maker® 7.0 and Adobe Acrobat®,

• Competent with a variety of PC tools and applications

• Flexible, able to adapt to changing requirements, scope and schedule

• Able to meet aggressive timelines

Educational Background: Any Graduate (Science & Engg graduate preferable)
